Warranty Terms and Conditions
Warranty Length
All our chairs carry a two-year warranty on the mechanisms, frame and upholstery.
All our air cushions carry a one-year warranty.
In addition, some accessories such as the Accupak, Reading Lamp, Lap strap/ harnesses, 20 Cycle Back up and Relaxor Heat and Massage systems carry a one-year warranty in line with the manufacturer’s recommendations. For these additional accessories we would recommend that you read carefully the relevant instructions contained in your user manual.They contain conditions for their correct usage which if not followed will invalidate your warranty.
Warranty Overview
Repose will repair or replace, at our discretion and free of charge to the original purchaser, any parts covered by this warranty that on examination, by Repose technical staff or the original parts supplier, are found to be defective in material and/or workmanship.
The product or parts requiring repair/replacement must be returned to the address below by you and you will be responsible for the costs of packaging, postage and any postal insurance.
The warranty includes any labour cost incurred for the product being repaired by Repose but does not cover any costs of any professional engineer you might use to fit any parts.
When you report a fault to Repose please quote your original purchase invoice and unique batch number. The batch number and supplier details can be found under the base of the leg rest near to the end. Simply elevate the leg rest to view.
If a chair part or a chair which has been returned to us for inspection is found not to be faulty then you will be liable for any transport, labour or part costs.
Any products returned to Repose must be cleaned/disinfected and should pose no health hazard.Please note that it is a criminal offence to send contaminated items via the postal system or other delivery agents.Repose retain the right to refuse any products that are deemed to be a health hazard.
Any unauthorised attempt by anyone other than the manufacturer to repair or dismantle a piece of furniture will invalidate the warranty. You should never make alterations to the design of the chair or adapt it in any way – to do so will invalidate the warranty.
Furniture Return Policy
The furniture’s defects should be notified to Repose as soon as is possible. It should be returned to Repose for a thorough test. We shall produce a test report on the defects and will make arrangements with you to carry out any repairs that are necessary.
These repairs will usually be carried out within 10 working days from receipt, subject to the required parts being available.
Once repaired the furniture will be returned to you as part of our normal delivery schedule. The schedule is planned two weeks, in advance and we will work with you to find a suitable delivery time.
If the furniture is found not to be faulty then you will be informed and you will be charged for any labour and collection or return transport costs that Repose incur.
Parts Return Policy
You should notify us immediately of any faulty parts providing full part details. We will despatch a new part as requested. You will receive an invoice for this part, however once the part has been examined by Repose if it is found to be faulty, you will receive a credit note against this invoice. If the part is found not to be faulty then you will be charged for the part and any delivery costs.
The faulty part needs to be returned to Repose as soon as possible, and within the 30 days from the date of the initial replacement supplied, for the warranty to be effective. If the part is returned after 30 days you may be charged for the part and any transport costs incurred.
Return Address and notification
Please ensure that all chairs and parts are returned back to our registered address: Repose Furniture, Building 21, First Avenue, Pensnett Trading Estate, Kingswinford, DY6 7TU.
All communications with regards to possible defects and returns should be discussed with our Service Department on: service@reposefurniture.co.uk.
This will prevent any delays.
Please Note: Proof of return will be required, if requested.
Warranty Exclusions:
We will not be liable for a products failure in the following circumstances:
- You continue to use the product after notifying us of any faults
- The defect arises because you failed to follow instructions as to its storage, installation, commissioning, use or maintenance
- Fabric damage resulting from misuse, negligence, abuse, accident or incorrect cleaning
- Unauthorised or incorrect repairs, alterations and modifications
- Damage to the furniture from misuse, negligence, abuse or accident
- Damage caused from normal wear and tear
- Damage caused by common carrier abuse or mishandling and any special, indirect, incidental and/or consequential damages
- Replacement of the Accupak or 20 Cycle battery systems if the battery is left to completely discharge.Please read the instructions for these products which are contained in your user manual.
Statutory Rights
Nothing contained in these guidelines shall effect the statutory rights of the customer.
