All of these adjustments can be made by the care staff completely tool-free. With these measurements able to be changed within seconds, the ProForm Position can be altered for the next client easily and quickly, making it convenient for care environments. |
Pressure Management Back CushionsThe ProForm Position features our bestselling waterfall back. The cushions can be repositioned to suit a user’s individual seating preferences, and each cushion can be unzipped and fibres removed to suit the client. Covers can also be removed for cleaning. See Back Cushion Section for more details. |
Pressure Management Seat CushionsThere is a choice of three interchangeable seat cushions each with different pressure management features. You can purchase one or more cushions to support the different needs of individuals who may use this chair. Cushions and covers are removable for cleaning and replacement. See Seat Cushion Section for more details. |
Heavy-Duty Push HandleThe ProForm Position is designed to be extremely easy to push and manoeuvre. The rear of the chair features a heavy-duty push handle for ease of movement for the care team. The durability of the handle ensures the longevity of the chair. |
Four Heavy Duty Large Lockable CastorsThe ProForm Position comes with four heavy-duty lockable castors designed to easily glide over low profile carpets, wooden and vinyl flooring. This includes one directional castor, which when activated allows for more controlled movement. |
Box Cushion & Crumb CatcherThe ProForm Position features an easily removable box seat cushion, with anti-slip material to the underside to ensure security once the client is seated. This makes changing the seat cushion simple and effortless to adapt to changing conditions. The crumb catcher can be completely removed for ease of cleaning. |
Crafted with recyclability in mind, the ProForm Position provides adjustability in several areas to accommodate changing needs and allow for reusability among other clients.
Seat DepthAt the back of the ProForm Position, two plungers underneath the seat board can be released to allow the entire back frame to slide backwards or forwards, which in turn enables the seat depth to be changed from 355mm (14") to 508mm (20"). This can accommodate clients with a larger gluteal shelf or users with a larger frame. |
Seat WidthUnderneath the arm pads on the outer panel, two knobs are located than can be turned to allow movement of the arm. The arm can then be adjusted to achieve the desired seat width, which ranges from 400mm (15.5") to 534mm (21"). |
Arm AngleThe ProForm Position's arm angles are completely customisable to the client. If the user has a tendency to lean whilst they are sitting, the arms can be angled to accommodate this. The angle adjustment also aids windsweeping posture to ensure the user is always fully supported. |
Height Adjustable FootplateThe footplate on the ProForm Position comes as standard, and is equipped with height and angle adjustment capabilities. The height of the footplate can easily be changed by pulling the release strap behind the leg rest. The seat to footplate length can then be altered from 480mm (19") up to 610mm (24"). This ensures a wider range of clients can be catered to and their feet can be fully supported by the footplate whilst the chair is in use. |
Angle Adjustable FootplateThe footplate on the ProForm Position comes as standard, and is equipped with height and angle adjustment capabilities. The footplate has three angle positions to accommodate for fixed flexion and to assist with maintaining the foot position for users with drop foot. It can be folded up against the leg rest if required for access with a hoist. |
The following features can be purchased to enhance the functionality of the chair or customise it to the user's preference:
Foam FootpadThe foam footpad can be simply secured to the footplate providing the user with a softer and deeper cushion support. Available in three sizes – 25.4mm, 50.8mm and 76.2mm (1”, 2” and 3”). |
PivotFit Shoulder HarnessThe PivotFit™ Shoulder Harness represents the latest in innovative design from Bodypoint. Distributing pressure across a great surface, the PivotFit Shoulder Harness offers a body-contouring shape for optimal support and a comfortable fit. Continuous smooth padding prevents dirt and debris getting trapped in the harness. The PivotFit harness can be purchased with either front pull adjustment or rear pull adjustment to suit the needs of most users. As the name suggests, the star feature of the PivotFit is the pivot buckle on the sternum strap, which prevents the harness becoming twisted and uncomfortable during movement. The harness comes as standard with no stretch in the upper straps, and is more suitable for corrective positioning. |
Pelvic Positioning BeltsThe Bodypoint® range of pelvic positioning belts are created with the user in mind. Proper positioning of the pelvis is essential for daily functions, effective pressure distribution, and of course for comfort. Thoughtful design features of the Bodypoint® belts include - rounded edges on buckles so that these do not snag clothing, stain-proof extra-strength straps, and patented laminar pads covered with wrinkle-free material for a smooth and comfortable fit. Using rigorously tested materials, metal buckles and strong mountings, these belts won’t let you down. |
Two Point Push Button Centre Pull This type of belt has two points of attachment to the chair. Two-point attachment is suitable when the belt is supporting users with low tone or weakness. The push button buckle is 1/3 lighter than comparable push-button models. It is designed with rounded edges that improve comfort and prevent snagging on clothing. It has internal metal adjustments so that the belt tightens easily but does not loosen through the day. The cover on this buckle is modular so it can be removed easily for cleaning. |
All our health fabrics are Waterproof, Anti-MRSA, Anti-bacterial, Anti-fungal, Crib 5 and bleach cleanable. All cushions and cushion covers are removable for cleaning purposes.

Waterfall
Individual fibre filled waterfall cushions, each of which are fully adjustable to accommodate maximum postural support. The waterfall back can be useful for those with mild Kyphosis, Scoliosis and reduced muscle mass on their back.
There is a choice of four seat cushions each with different pressure management features. They can be removed and interchanged with one of the other seat cushion options. You can purchase one or more cushions to support the different needs of individuals who may use this chair. Cushions and covers are removable for cleaning and replacement. With all pressure management seat cushions, we recommend a fabric with four way stretch properties to aid the reduction of shear and friction. |
For those who have good posture and mobility but are seated for greater than one hour at a time and require pressure relief and supported comfort. This cushion has a high-density foam base which offers a supportive and firm seat base with a top layer of memory foam to allow immersion into the cushion, giving stability and a large surface area to reduce pressure levels.
For those sitting for long periods with specific comfort issues such as a high risk of pressure sores. This cushion uses the latest medical grade silicone gel technology allowing pressure to be evenly distributed. The gel conforms to the shape of the body and equalises to body temperature. The gel cells allow air to flow easily and Coolform is totally odourless and hypoallergenic.
For those who have good posture and mobility but sit for long periods of time and require pressure relief and supported comfort. Recommended for people with limited muscle bulk or at risk of excessive weight loss. This cushion has a high-density foam which offers a supportive and firm seat base. The foam is topped with a fluid liquid gel in a soft silicone cover which provides a high level of pressure relief. The liquid gel helps to dissipate heat and constantly adapts to the user’s movement.
For those sitting for long periods with specific comfort issues such as a high risk of pressure sores. Gelacell has a unique cell matrix that distributes pressure across the contact area, as it contours and yields in response to weight redistribution. Gelacell absorbs body heat, reducing the risk of creating an environment that could increase pressure risks, the grid design also encourages air circulation. Gelacell is clinically tested and passes all dermatological tests for skin contact.
Maximum weight of user 127 kg (20 stone)
The ProForm Position comes in either an electric or manual model, both of which allow for the following movements:
Independent Tilt In Space (TIS)The Independent Tilt in Space works to counteract the effect of the person’s pannus. By having control over the angle of tilt you can adjust that person’s centre of gravity’ making them feel more comfortable, supporting the pannus, and reducing the feeling that they are being dragged forward by external forces. The TIS movement allows the seat to back angle to remain the same whilst the whole seating system is tilted backwards, which means that the angle of the hips, knees and ankles are not affected during this movement. It also reduces the weight on the Ischial Tuberosities and redistributes the weight through the back. This constant back angle prevents shear and friction during movement. This feature can also help when moving someone in a hoist and can support better pelvic positioning by optimising the use of gravity to position the user in the optimal position. |
Independent Backrest ReclineThe Independent Backrest Recline allows the person to maintain flexibility over their body’s position, particularly the amount of hip flexion, enabling them to maximise comfort as well as managing health needs. This unique feature allows the angle at which the TIS operates to be changed at any time. The backrest can be independently reclined providing a range of back angles allowing for optimal position for comfort. The angle range is 90 – 135 degrees. |
Independent Leg Rest AdjustmentThe leg rest angle of the ProForm Contour can be changed independently and can move from 90 degrees to 150 degrees. This offers the user additional flexibility over positioning, allowing them to use it in conjunction with the recline feature to create the optimal posture for their body shape. |
