Pressure Management Seat CushionsThe Multi Flex has a choice of four interchangeable seat cushions each with different pressure management features. You can purchase one or more cushions to support the different needs of individuals who may use this chair. All cushions and covers on the interchangeable Multi Flex seat cushions are removable for cleaning or replacement. With all seat cushions we recommend a fabric with four way stretch properties to aid reduction of shear and friction. See Seat Cushion Section for details of the individual cushions. |
Seat Angle AdjustmentThe tilting seat can help to reduce the risk of an individual falling from the chair due to severe involuntary movements as well as allowing for different levels of comfort and postural control. |
Seat Depth AdjustmentThere is a mechanism to adjust the seat depth so that the right seat depth can be achieved. The seat depth should be long enough to support the upper part of the legs whilst allowing the back to rest comfortably on the backrest. If the seat is too long the user is likely to slouch in the chair to get their feet on the floor, which puts extra pressure on their lower spine, if too short it will cause additional pressure on the thighs risking potential skin breakdown. |
Sliding FootplateThis enables the user to place their feet safely on the footplate whilst being portered, but because it can be hidden away it allows uninterrupted access with a hoist. The cover can also be easily removed for cleaning. |
Heavy-duty push handleFor ease of movement they come with a heavy-duty push handle with rubber grips. |
CastorsThe chairs come with four heavy-duty lockable castors built in as standard. |
D-RingsD-rings are fitted as standard. |
The following features can be purchased to enhance the functionality of the chair.

The contoured leg channels provide comfort and support by reducing the risk of a user crossing their legs or from their legs falling off the edge of the leg support. Connecting straps for leg support block To be able to attach the leg support block to the chair you must request connecting straps at time of manufacture, this is an optional accessory. |
