Designed for comfort and pressure management control it comes with a Standard Dual Motor offering a wide choice of positions, adjustable waterfall back which is very useful for those with mild kyphosis, scoliosis and reduced muscle mass and interchangeable seat cushions with different pressure management options.

The Multi Bari plus sized chair is suitable for either a health or home environment. It offers clients and carers movement options that support good posture, pressure management and independent living. The dual motor mechanism is ideal for those clients:
The back recline works independently of the leg rest enabling a wide range of relaxing positions, from sitting upright and raising the leg rest to relieve tired legs to a fully reclined resting position. The leg elevation can support reduction in oedema and fluid retention. This reduced fluid in the lower limbs allows a user to maintain their standing and walking abilities. The rise position supports standing, enabling the person to walk away more easily. The three removable waterfall cushions can be repositioned and can be useful for those with mild kyphosis, scoliosis and reduced muscle mass on their back. The chair comes with a range of made to measure options: Seat Height ensuring that the client’s feet are flat on the floor and that their thighs are in contact with the full length of the seat cushion to provide a comfortable sitting position. Seat Width supporting correct pelvic positioning and stability as well as reducing any pressure areas especially around the hip joint. Always allow adequate room for natural movement and different changes of clothing. Seat Depth ensuring that the thighs are supported throughout their length but not too long, or too short so as to avoid pressure points at the back of the knees and on the Ischial Tuberosities. The chair can also be used as part of a 24-hour postural care programme to reduce the risk of skin breakdown and its features also ensure that a user can be repositioned to allow for optional occupational performance, thus allowing an individual to engage in activities they want to do. MechanismThe Multi Bari is available with a Standard Dual Motor mechanism. The two motors allow the back rest to move independently of the leg rest enabling a wide range of relaxing positions, from sitting upright and raising the leg rest to relieve tired legs, to a fully reclined resting position. Leg section elevation can support reduction in oedema and fluid retention. This reduced fluid in the lower limbs allows a user to maintain their standing and walking abilities. When the seat is in the rise position it tilts transferring the user’s weight to their knees and taking away the pressure on the hips allowing them to walk away from the chair more easily. Three Tier Waterfall Back CushionThe three removable and replaceable waterfall cushions can be repositioned enabling the user to be seated and their posture supported correctly to meet their individual needs. The comfort and postural options are further enhanced with the addition of blockers (see below) that adjust the shape and support of the back cushions, and the ability to adjust the firmness of each individual cushion by adding or taking away fibres. Back BlockersAt the back of the waterfall cushions, sleeves are fitted to accommodate the blockers to provide additional postural support. The position of each back cushion can be adapted with blockers to adjust the shape and support for the specific needs of each user. Blockers are provided as standard. |

Pressure Management Seat CushionsThere is a choice of six interchangeable seat cushions each with different pressure management features. You can purchase one or more cushions to support the different needs of individuals who may use this chair. Cushions and covers are removable for cleaning. With all these seat cushions we recommend a fabric with four way stretch properties to aid reduction of shear and friction. See Seat Cushion Section for details of the individual cushions. |

Chaise CoverThe Multi Bari benefits from a single, full seat cover. This chaise reduces the risk of pressure areas developing due to pinch points and shear and friction when the chair reclines. Designed with a memory foam insert the chaise offers deep comfort. The chaise cover and memory foam can be removed for cleaning and replacement. |

Arm Rest DesignThe arms have been designed to be extra flat and wide, this supports upper limb weight and reduces strain on joints and muscles. |

Overall Weight Limits
The Multi-Bari has a weight limit of 254 Kg (40 stone) and a leg rest with a capacity of 160 Kg (25 stone) as standard.
Seat Cushion Weight Limits
Certain pressure management seat cushion options have their own overall weight limits, including the Dynaform, details of which can be found in the Seat Cushion Section. The maximum leg rest weight limit is unaffected by the seat cushion.

For standard seating, our softest foam cushion with high quality Reflex foam filler for gentle comfort.
For our standard seating, a cushion that provides a more supportive and firm seat with a high-quality filler from Reflex, the foam specialists.
For those who have good posture and mobility but are seated for greater than one hour at a time and require pressure relief and supported comfort. This cushion has a high-density foam base which offers a supportive and firm seat base with a top layer of memory foam to allow immersion into the cushion, giving stability and a large surface area to reduce pressure levels.
For those sitting for long periods with specific comfort issues such as a high risk of pressure sores. This cushion uses the latest medical grade silicone gel technology allowing pressure to be evenly distributed. The gel conforms to the shape of the body and equalises to body temperature. The gel cells allow air to flow easily and Coolform is totally odourless and hypoallergenic.
For those at very high risk of developing pressure sores or a history of sores where the highest priority is to prevent further pressure damage. The Dynaform cushion is a dynamic alternating air cushion, which constantly changes the air levels within its air cells to recreate the effect of normal body movements, which provides constant pressure redistribution to prevent pressure build up.

Standard Dual Motor
The Standard Dual Motor comes with an independent backrest recline and independent leg rest movement that enables a whole range of positions to aid posture and pressure management. It also has a rise function to aid standing from a seated position.
- The independent recline allows the user to maintain flexibility over their body’s position, particularly the amount of hip flexion, enabling them to maximise comfort as well as managing health needs.
- The independent leg rest offers the user additional flexibility over positioning, allowing them to either use it in conjunction with the recline feature to create the optimal posture for their body shape.
The Multi Bari comes with the option to choose the following safety feature:
Enclosure Skirt
The enclosure skirt hides the mechanism when the chair is either in the full rise or recline positions. This has been designed to stop small pets entering the mechanism whilst in the recline or rise positions.

Standard Two-Year WarrantyTwo years on mechanisms, frame, upholstery and electrics. One year on air seat cushions and also on some additional accessories such as the Accupak, 20 Cycle Back up and Relaxor heat and massage systems. Repose will repair or replace, at our discretion and free of charge to the original purchaser, any parts covered by this warranty and that on examination, are found to be defective in material and/or workmanship. The warranty is for parts and labour only. The product or parts requiring repair/replacement must be returned to Repose by you and you will be responsible for the costs of packaging, postage and any postal insurance. Any products returned to Repose must be disinfected and should pose no health hazard.
